If you wear a RingConn ring, nothing you use today moves behind a paywall. Sleep, activity and vitals stay free, and so do chats with the app’s AI, up to a daily limit. RingConn now sells more of those chats as Partner+. It arrived with app version 4.5.0 on October 26. In the US it costs $5.99 a month or $69.99 a year, before tax.
What the free plan keeps
RingConn Partner, the AI companion that answers questions about your own readings, left beta with this update. It was free during the RingConn Lab beta, and it stays free now, with a daily allowance. Partner+ raises that allowance tenfold.
Partner+ adds no features of its own, so the new data the AI can read from 4.5.0 on reaches both plans: cycle tracking, vascular readings and weekly health reports. You can also give the assistant a name of your own.
RingConn doesn’t say how many conversations the free allowance covers, so “ten times” has no number to multiply. The count resets 24 hours after your first chat of the day, rather than at midnight. Partner+ isn’t unlimited either. Hit its ceiling and you wait for the reset like everyone else.
Oura’s price for a smaller job
The US prices match Oura’s membership to the cent. Oura’s fee pays for scores, trends and its own Advisor chatbot, and Oura says the insights are “much more limited” without it. RingConn’s fee buys only more chat volume, because its sleep, activity and vitals screens need no paid plan.
We’d consider Partner+ only after the free allowance has run out on you more than once. For a few questions a week, the free plan is the whole product.
The trial and the annual plan
If you’re new to Partner, you get Partner+ free for seven days, but the trial starts only when you pick a monthly or annual plan in the app. It then turns into that plan automatically. To avoid a charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the seven days end. RingConn says reminders begin on day five, and refunds go through the App Store or Google Play.
Twelve monthly payments come to $71.88, which makes the annual plan $1.89 cheaper. That saving is too small to commit a year in advance. Start monthly if you try it at all.
Beta testers get three months of Partner+ free from launch. Afterward the account drops back to the free plan with no charge, so there’s nothing to cancel.
The rest of version 4.5.0
Every RingConn model gets the rest of the update, starting with rebuilt women’s health tracking: one-tap period logging, plain-language cycle stages and a year-long cycle view. Respiratory rate now syncs to Apple Health, and Android’s Health Connect gets respiratory rate and skin temperature. If your records live in one of those apps, that sync is the reason to update.
Our take
Install 4.5.0 and leave Partner+ alone. A bigger chat allowance is thin value at the price Oura asks for a whole membership. RingConn’s FAQ promises free use of the features “included with your purchase”, and that wording doesn’t cover features it adds later.
